Olay Regenerist: An awesome anti ageing product range that has been acclaimed as producing great results and at a price that is so affordable. Olay stands true to it's creator's ethics and concept and offers a superb product that stands on actual results and not expensive advertising and hype. Regenerist page REVIEW: Great product. Feels good. Does the job and smells awesome too! I purchased the Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Aging cream as I had read good reviews. I previously used Avon Anew and Signature Club A Rapid C. I really like this cream. It is a light creamy rich texture but is still quickly absorbed into the skin. It has a mild but pleasing fragrance which is actually rather nice. This was my second one of these. I did not notice that much difference after the first bottle but decided, as I liked the feel of the cream, to try a second. I am very pleased that I did as I have noticed quite dramatic results after two weeks of use. Both fine and deep lines look less noticeable. My skin texture is good. My skin feels soft to the touch and looks healthy. I also use the face scrub first before applying this cream and the eye cream. I am 58 years of age and I would definitely recommend this product. I feel the price is good compared to the other products I have used. I would however like to see more product in the eye cream. If you are looking for something to help your skin which is a fair price, really helps hydrate the skin and smells nice then Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration is well worth the money. Carol
Alzheimer's Is there an early sign that points to Alzheimer's in our future?
Rob was studying a photo of his family when they had just arrived in Hong Kong in the sixties. He said that there was a distinct difference that he found in his mum that he, his dad and his brothers did not have. They were all looking directly at the camera but one of his mum's eye pupils was markedly larger than the other. We decided to check and see if anyone else had an eye defect that we could easily research on the Internet. We found that President Reagan and Glen Campbell both had Presbyopia. If you know anyone with Alzheimer's who has also experienced this or any unusual eye problem will you please contact us at www. beauriche.com DEMENTIA The killer that creeps into our bodies on carpet slippers and ultimately controls our lives.
As we are all probably aware the main modern day mass killers are Cancer and Heart disease but another silent danger is out there, which maybe not so much is brought to our attention as it should be: Dementia.
Latest statistics in the UK, report that there are 850.000 cases and by the year 2020, it is expected to rise to 1.5 million. In 2009 The National Alzheimer's Association stated that there are approximately 5.3 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease. This figure includes 5.1 million people that are aged 65 and older and 200,000 people that are under the age of 65 but that display symptoms of the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
One out of eight people age 65 and older (13 percent) has Alzheimer’s disease. Women, who on average live longer than men, are more likely than men to have Alzheimer's disease.
Age is the greatest risk factor for Alzheimer’s. A small percentage of Alzheimer cases is caused by rare, genetic variations found in a few hundred families worldwide.
Alzheimer's is the most frequent cause of dementia, accounting for 70 percent of all cases of dementia in Americans aged 71 and older.
According to the latest (2009) projections released by the national Alzheimer's Association: By 2030, all baby boomers will be at least 65 years old. That year, the number of people aged 65 and older with Alzheimer's is expected to reach 7.7 million, more than a 50 percent increase from the 5.1 million age 65 order older currently (2009) affected. By 2050, that number is expected to reach between 11 and 16 million unless medical breakthroughs identify ways to prevent or more effectively treat the disease.
So what causes it? No-one really knows, but hereditary is more the most likely reason you might contract it. One thing for sure is...when you do suffer with this disease, you are fully dependant on a carer. I didn't know anything about this problem until my Mother was struck with it 18 months ago. Fortunately, she lives my Father who is her full-time carer. Without him, she would have to move into a care facility.
A few months ago, I visited my parents, and all day my Mother would sit, saying nothing and only giving a one word answer when spoken to. She would take off her slippers and socks, and put them back on...over and over again. Dad says she would get up in the night and get dressed. When asked what she is doing, she would reply..." I'm ready to go to the shops". When asked to name her four sons......she cannot remember. On further prompts she may remember two.
So can we do anything to prevent suffering with this disease? For a long time now, it has been suggested we exercise our brain i.e. doing regular crossword puzzles, Sudoku etc. as one of the main features of the illness is memory loss. More recently it has been the thought of specialists that regular physical exercise and healthy eating will also help. One thing is certain though. This problem has to be researched more, and the public made more aware. Take action now all you Baby Boomers don't let this horrid disease rob you of your golden years. Dust off those thought processes and start exercising your brain as well as your body to keep healthy. Rob Allen
